West Hartford, CT – University of Hartford men's basketball coach Dan Leibovitz announced his resignation on Tuesday. Leibovitz has been with the Hartford basketball program since April of 2006.
“Dan Leibovitz is the first coach in program history to bring us to a conference championship game (2007-08),” said Special Assistant to the President and Director of Athletics Patricia H. Meiser. “He has recruited good student-athletes who have brought integrity to our program. We certainly wish him well in his future endeavours.”
In four seasons with Hartford, Leibovtiz has compiled a 44-82 overall record. Under his tutelage, three players have earned spots in the record books, highlighted by Joe Zeglinski who became the all-time leading three point shooter in 2009-10 as a junior.
A national search for the 10th men's basketball coach at Hartford will begin immediately.
