BLOOMFIELD Ore. — The Hartford men's golf team posted three finishers inside the top-ten as the Hawks took home a third-place finish at the Hartford Wintonbury Hills Invitational, held at Wintonbury Hills Golf Course in nearby Bloomfield. Leading the way for the Hawks was graduate student

TOURNAMENT HIGHLIGHTS & NOTES
- Tomaso shot a 1-over 71 in both rounds to tie for fifth place
- Danny Frodigh ended with a strong closing round, posting a 1-over 71 to finish in a tie for seventh
- Sophomore Conor Byrne had the best round of the tournament for the Hawks on the final day, posting an even 70 to finish in a tie for ninth
- Senior Jared Winiarz and Manuel Romero had strong outings, tying for 12th place each
- Romero, who played as an individual, and Winiarz finished with a 6-over 146
- Fairfield took home the team title after finishing two strokes ahead of Rhode Island with a team score of 571
- Bryson Richard of Rhode Island took home the individual title, carding a 5-under 65 in the final round to finish with a 2-under 138 across the two rounds

The Hawks return to action on Monday, April 11, at the LIU Shark Invitational. The two-day event will take place at Brookville Country Club in Glen Head, N.Y.
