NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Hartford outdoor track and field competed in the New England Championships this weekend, placing three student-athletes on the All-New England Team.

HARTFORD MEN HIGHLIGHTSÂ
- Junior Terrel Davis highlighted the men's squad with two top-ten finishes
- Davis took runner-up honors in the long jump (7.29m) and sixth-place in the triple jump (14.37m)
- Sophomore Victor Shapovalov and rookie Keon Cooper each earned All-New England Team honors in the javelinÂ
- Shapovalov launched the javelin 62.63m to earn third-place while Cooper took eighth-place with a mark of 57.85
HARTFORD WOMEN HIGHLIGHTS
- Freshman Haleemot Adeyanju paced the women's team with a school-record breaking performance in the 800m
- Adeyanju broke her own school record with a time of 2:11.73 to take fourth place in the event
- Junior Olivia Rougeau high jumped 1.63m to earn ninth place
- The women's 4x100m relay team crossed the line at 48.71 to take eighth place
- The relay team included rookies Brianna Harris, Nia Mills, Jaela Thomas and sophomore Abby Myers
NEXT ON TAP
Those who qualify will return to action at the NCAA East Regional Championships. Held in Jacksonville, Fla., the three-day event begins on Thursday, May 23.
