WEST HARTFORD, Conn. — The University of Hartford Department of Athletics officially introduced its ninth head coach in women's basketball history, welcoming
Morgan Valley at a press conference on Thursday morning.
A dynamic coach who has spent time as an assistant in the Pac-12, Atlantic Coast Conference, America East, Atlantic 10, Colonial Athletic Association, Patriot League and the BIG EAST, Valley brings more than 14 years of Division I coaching experience to Hartford. Her career arc includes stops at the University of Arizona, University of Washington, Virginia Tech University, University of Massachusetts, University of New Hampshire, Towson University, the College of the Holy Cross and the University of Connecticut.
Valley has experienced incredible success throughout her coaching career. She is coming off a 2019 WNIT Championship at Arizona, where she spent the previous two seasons as an assistant coach (2017-19). Prior to joining Arizona's staff, she spent two seasons as an assistant at Washington (2015-17), helping the Huskies the most wins in a two-year span in program history (55), and the team's first-ever Final Four appearance in 2016.
