For their first two games in the country, the Hartford men’s basketball team had trouble adjusting to that style of play. On Saturday against the Sydney Kings, however, the Hawks were prepared and gave out as much as they took in the battle underneath. As the Hartford men's basketball team prepares to open a new chapter this fall, they will start by honoring their past. The 2010-11 season will be kicked off by the Third Annual Draft Night Dinner on October 8. The America East Conference has chosen the University of Hartford as host for its 2011 Men’s and Women’s Basketball Championships to be held on March 3-6. Just months removed from the first-ever combined men’s and women’s championship, the conference Athletic Directors chose to build off the momentum created from this past year and once again hold the tournament in Hartford. John Gallagher has announced the arrival of Brian Glowiak as the Director of Basketball Operations for Hartford men's basketball, filling the spot vacated when Jason Ivey was promoted to a full-time assistant position.
