The Hartford Cross Country and Track & Field programs will be hosting the Hawktober 5K on Sunday, Oct. 18, at 10 a.m. The event is open to the public, with an entry fee for $25.

Proceeds from the race, which will be held on the University of Hartford campus, go to benefit the Hartford Cross Country and Track & Field programs. The race will begin behind the Sports Center, and is open to both runners and walkers.

"We are excited to cap off Hawktober weekend with the Hawktober 5K," Head Cross Country and Track & Field Coach Roger Busch said. "It should be a fun event for alumni, families and members of the community to come out to the campus and interact with our student-athletes."
