WEST HARTFORD, Conn. – Head coach Peter Lawrence and the University of Hartford lacrosse team announced its schedule of events for Alumni Weekend this fall. This year's “Hawktober Weekend” will begin on Friday, October 1.

The festivities will kick off on Friday, October 1 when Lawrence and the lacrosse program host a golf outing at Tunxis Plantation in Farmington, Conn. at 12:00 p.m. Following the golf outing, alumni will have the opportunity to meet at downtown Hartford's Black Bear Saloon for a social gathering beginning at 8:00 p.m.

Hawktober Weekend continues on Saturday, October 2 with the lacrosse alumni game, an event that features former Hawks battling against each other on Al-Marzook Field. Opening face-off for the alumni game will be at 11:30 a.m. At the conclusion of the match, Hartford will hold its annual Red/White game, allowing alumni to get a sneak peak of the 2011 edition of the Hawks lacrosse team.

The weekend's events will wrap up on Saturday evening with the Lacrosse Banquet held at City Steam in downtown Hartford. The banquet will feature a 6:00 p.m. reception with dinner to follow.
