WEST HARTFORD, Conn. - The Hartford baseball team has announced its schedule of events for Alumni Weekend this fall as they help kick off "Hawktober" on the weekend of October 1-3.

Things get underway on Friday, October 1 when head coach Jeff Calcaterra and the baseball program hosts a golf outing at Blackledge Country Club at 1 p.m.

For the seventh consecutive year, the baseball program is dedicating its alumni game to Kyle Valentine (2002-04), a former Hawk who passed away during the summer of 2004. The game will be held at Fiondella Field at 11 a.m. on Saturday, October 2.

The next day at 2 p.m., Hartford will hold its annual intra-squad game. Once again, the team has chosen to use the event to honor a fallen Hawk - former infielder Todd Reynolds (1985, 87-88), who passed away in a car accident in 1989. This will be the sixth season in which the intra-squad game was dedicated to Reynolds.
