West Hartford, CT – Following in the footsteps of the first ever appearance in the AP Top 25 Poll released on Monday (February 22), the Hartford women's basketball team saw its ranking in the ESPN/USA Today coaches poll slide up one spot into 23rd. Hartford scored its school record 15th and 16th straight victories with wins over Binghamton and Boston University last week.

The Hawks have been ranked in the ESPN/USA Today coaches poll since February 8 just prior to a win over Maine. The Hawks slide up one notch last week into 24th on the poll and this week picked up 37 additional votes to pull into 23rd in the poll.

Hartford will return to action on Wednesday for the first of two games in the final week of the regular season. The first will be at Albany at 7:00 p.m. before returning to Chase Arena for the regular season finale against Vermont on Saturday at 4:00 p.m. Prior to the Vermont game, the Hawks will honor their four seniors Erica Beverly, Diana Delva, Jenna Peterson and Kacey Pratt.
