FAIRFIELD, CT  - University of Hartford senior Eric Guevara was selected to the Turfer/NEILA East-West Senior All-Star Roster, as announced on Friday by the New England Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association. 

Guevara, a defender, will play as a member of the West squad. The game will take place on Sunday, May 31 at 1 p.m. at Tufts University in Medford, MA.

Guevara started and played all 13 games in 2009, leading the Hawks in caused turnovers (20) while recording 32 ground balls. He was an America East All-Academic Team selection with a 3.43 GPA and graduated in May with a degree in criminal justice.

Hartford finished 2-11 overall on the season and picked up its first conference win since 2007. The Hawks lost eight games by two goals or less, including four by a single goal.
