West Hartford, CT - Freshman Alex Hall scored the first conference award of the season for Hartford, picking up America East Rookie of the Week honors on Monday. The Pembroke, NH native capped off a successful week with a 20 point outing in her home state against Dartmouth on Sunday afternoon.

Against the Big Green, Hall finished 9-of-20 from the field, including a pair of three pointers. For the week she averaged 10.7 points, 3.3 rebounds, one assist and 1.3 steals per-game over three contests. She finished the week shooting 36.1 percent from the field (13-of-26), including 45 percent against Dartmouth.

She has started all four games this season and is currently the Hawks third leading scorer at 9.3 points-per-game. She opened the week with a four-point, two rebound effort in the upset of #19/23 Louisville and then followed that up with eight points and four rebounds in the loss to Providence on Friday.

The women's basketball team returns to action on Saturday, November 28 when they welcome the Temple Owls to Chase Arena at the Reich Family Pavilion for a rematch of the 2006 NCAA First Round game in which the Hawks upset the Owls to advance to the round of 32. Saturday's game is scheduled for a 2:00 p.m. tip-off and can be heard live on WWUH 91.3 FM, the flagship station for Hartford women's basketball, and can be seen live on CTSN, the Connecticut Sports Network.
