West Hartford, CT - The University of Hartford women's basketball team learned their first round opponent for the postseason Women's National Invitation Tournament, hosting Bucknell in the opening round on Thursday, March 15.

The Hawks earned the right to play in the WNIT after winning their second-straight regular season title and missing an at-large selection for the NCAA Tournament on Monday night. The Hawks enter the WNIT with an overall record of 24-8. Bucknell won the regular season title in the Patriot League, but dropped out of the tournament in quarterfinals to Colgate.
