The America East Conference released the 2008-09 men's and women's basketball schedules on Wednesday afternoon. Both teams will play 16 conference games, eight home and eight on the road.

The men's team will open the conference schedule on Saturday, January 3 when they host Albany for a 2:00 p.m. start. The men will also play two non-conference games during the conference portion of the schedule. They first travel to Yale for an in-state rivalry game on Saturday, January 10 and will then take part in the seventh annual ESPNU BracketBusters on the weekend of February 20 & 21. The Hawks ESPNU BracketBusters opponent and game time will be announced on February 2.

The women's team will open the conference schedule on Wednesday, January 7 at home against the Binghamton Bearcats at 7:00 p.m. The women will see an intermission in the conference schedule playing a final non-conference game on Sunday, February 15, when they host Marist at 2:00 p.m. The women's team will close out the regular season with back-to-back home games, before hosting the America East Championship for the seventh time in the last eight years.
