Etta is just three digs behind team leader Sarah Boss with 259 digs on the season ... Etta has been the Hawks starting libero since the beginning of conference play, earning the spot in her first season with Hartford.
Foster led the Hawks at the America East Championship with a 14th place finish in a field of 76 on Saturday ... Foster has led the Hawks in six-consecutive races ... she finished the 5,000-meter course in a time of 18:15.0, setting a new personal record for that distance.

Linn recorded the best finish of her collegiate career, tying for eighth overall last week at the Sacred Heart Fall Classic ... she shot a 79 in the first round, tying her career low round ... the round of 79 was also Hartford's low round for the tournament ... Linn followed that up with a round of 84 on the final day ... she helped the Hawks to a fifth place finish in the nine-team field ... Linn has played in five tournaments this fall and recorded a stroke average of 82.22.
Albertazzi led the Hawks to a 12th place finish in a strong field at the Brickyard Collegiate last week ... he finished tied for 21st overall with a 54-hole total of 219 (+9) ... Albertazzi carded the lowest round by a Hartford golfer at the tournament, posting an even-par 70 in the second round ... he currently leads the team in scoring average on the season at 75.20

Brodeur, a freshman keeper, did not allow a goal in nearly 186 minutes of action last week ... she made two stops and recorded a shutout in a scoreless tie against Maine on Thursday ... in a 4-0 win over Albany on Sunday, Brodeur faced only one shot and didn’t allow a goal in 75 minutes ... Brodeur has started and played all 14 games this season and leads the America East in save percentage (.882) ... she also ranks second in goals against average (0.55) and third in shutouts (5).

Aldred, who leads the team and league with six goals on the season, helped the Hawks to their third victory in their last four games ... she also anchors a defense that has posted five shutouts and has the third-lowest goals-against average (0.63) in the America East ... Aldred was named the America East Player of the Week on Monday, October 6

Macro was named to the Quinnipiac Bobcats Invitational All-Tournament team, her first in-season tournament team of the year ... she received the honor after leading the Hawks to a 2-1 finish in Hamden ... she finished the weekend with 38 kills, leading the Hawks in two of the three matches, including tying her career high of 19 kills in the Hawks 3-2 win over the host ... she opened the tournament with seven kills, six aces and 12 digs in the opening three-set win over Coppin State ... she then led the Hawks in the second match, a three-set loss to NJIT, with 12 kills and 11 digs for her first double double of the season ... Macro then closed out the tournament with her 19 kill effort, adding four aces, five digs and six blocks (including three solo blocks) against Quinnipiac ... Macro currently leads the Hawks on the season with 166 kills and a .213 attack percentage (76 errors, 423 total attacks).

Villa led the Hawks to a pair of 3-0 shutouts last week over Bryant and Canisius ... he scored four goals over the two games ... He opened the week, netting a hat trick in Hartford’s 3-0 victory over Bryant ... he then scored the third goal against Canisius in the 80th minute, which led to the eventual 3-0 victory ... Villa leads the team and is currently ranked second in the nation in goals scored and fourth in points ... he has recorded eight goals on the season in just seven games.

Macro led the Hawks to a 2-1 week with four-set wins over Quinnipiac and La Salle ... she finished with double digit kills in two of the three matches ... against Quinnipiac she finished with 13 kills and a .276 attack percentage, while knocking in five service aces ... in the first of two matches at La Salle, she led the team with nine kills in a three set match against Iona ... she then put up a season high 16 kills and a season best .419 attack percentage against the La Salle Explorers.

Brodeur helped the Hawks to a 0-1-1 record over the weekend at the George Mason Tournament ... she was named to the all-tournament team and allowed only one goal in 202:34 ... she made a career-high 10 saves in an overtime loss to George Mason ... Brodeur followed that effort with eight saves?including two in overtime?in a scoreless tie against Georgetown to secure her third shutout of the season.

In his first game as a Hawk, junior transfer Carlos Villa tallied two goals and one assist to lead the Hawks to a 4-0 shutout of Marist ... his first goal came at the twenty minute mark ... fourteen minutes later, Villa drilled in a direct kick to give Hartford a 2-0 lead ... at the seventy minute mark, Villa assisted on a Sam Groves goal to push the Hartford lead to the eventual 4-0 final ... Villa's two goals and assist currently leads the team.

Robinson scored a pair of goals in the Hawks’ 3-0 victory over Fairleigh Dickinson on opening weekend ... the freshman attack came off the bench to tally Hartford’s second and third goals of the game ... Robinson is the first Hawk to record two scores in a game since two-time first-team all-conference selection Megan Riemer scored twice on October 5, 2006 ... she is also the first Hartford rookie to record a multi-goal game since junior Laura Guigli tallied a pair of goals on October 1, 2006.

Name: Scott Bement

In the final weekend of his collegiate career, Sobocinski put up some of the best numbers he has over the past four years ... over the four-game series with Albany, the pitcher/second baseman hit .563, knocked in 10 runs and picked up a 9-3 win on the mound ... he opened the series as the starting pitcher for game one, pitching 5.2 innings and allowing three earned runs on three hits with six walks and a strikeout ... at the same time he was 1-for-3 at the plate with three RBI ... he followed that up by going 4-for-4 at the plate in the second game, knocking in two runs and scoring three in an 8-6 win ... on the final day of the season, Sobocinski went 1-for-4 with two RBI and 3-for-5 with three RBI, including two RBI in the ninth inning as the Hawks attempted a comeback ... Sobocinski closes out his career second all-time in hits, first in at bats, third in doubles, second in steals and third in assists.

Foster was named the Most Outstanding Track Performer of the 2009 America East Championships, leading the Hawks as the America East Champion in the 3,000-meter steeplechase and the 5,000-meter run ... In the steeplechase, Foster ran an NCAA qualifying time of 10:43.30, bettering her previous school record time by more than six seconds, while setting a facility record at Binghamton University's East Gym Track Complex ... In the 5,000-meter event, the senior distance runner took first overall with a time of 17:20.27, smashing her previous school record by more than 23 seconds.
Bement, a goalie, played a key role in helping Hartford to a pair of victories last week, including a shocking upset over sixth-ranked UMBC on Saturday ... he set the tone in the cage for the Hawks with a career-high 19 saves to hold the nation’s fifth-best offense to its second-lowest scoring output of the season ... the rookie made 11 of his stops in the second half, including five in the decisive fourth quarter ... earlier in the week, Bement made 10 saves in a 14-5 win over Presbyterian that was Hartford’s first victory of the season ... he ranks among the America East Conference leaders in both goals against average (9.68) and save percentage (.592), where he is also 11th in the nation ... for his outstanding play last week, Bement has raked in America East Player of the Week honors, Turfer/Neila Player of the Week honors, LAXnews College Beat Player of the Week honors and NIKE/Inside Lacrosse Player of the Week honors

Bhalla posted a perfect 4-0 record last week, helping the Hawks to a 1-1 record ... he swept two matches at #3 singles and two matches at #1 doubles, with partner Ricky Dove, against Holy Cross and Wagner ... the win over Wagner was the first dual match victory for the Hawks this season ... against Wagner, Bhalla didn't give up a game, posting wins of 6-0 in straight sets over Yirmeyah Beckels ... for the season, Bhalla stands at 3-11 overall in singles play, with a 3-7 record in dual matches ... in doubles play he is 4-12 overall with all four wins coming at the number one doubles position

Kyzer led the Hawks to three wins this past week ... In five games, she batted .500 with five hits in 10 at-bats ... The junior batted a perfect 3-for-3 with the game-winning RBI in Hartford’s 3-1 win over Sacred Heart on Wednesday ... In game two versus Sacred Heart, Kyzer went 1-for-2 with a double ... In the Hawks’ 6-2 win against Albany on Sunday, the first baseman finished 1-for-2 at the plate, knocking in two runs on a bases-loaded single
Gorski can be credited with both of the Hartford baseball team's wins last week, providing the walk-off hit in both games ... against Central Connecticut, the sophomore infielder, smacked a hard hit ball to third base with the bases loaded allowing Andy Drexel to score the game-winning run in the bottom of the ninth inning ... the next day, Gorki provided the heroics in the form of his first collegiate grand slam, as a walk-off in the bottom of the eighth inning, in the first game of a double header agains the Sacred Heart Pioneers ... for the week, Gorski hit .273 with three hits in 11 at bats, with three walks, four runs scored and six RBI.

Etienne led the Hawks to a 2-1 week with wins over Providence and #6/5 Duke ... she led the Hawks in all three games, averaging 15.3 points-per-game for the week ... she started the week out with a season-high, for all players, with 17 points against Providence ... she then put up a game-high 15 points, shooting 6-of-15 from the field and grabbed a season-high six rebounds and swiped away a career-high seven steals ... she rounded out the tournament with a 14-point effort against DePaul ... she also averaged 4.0 rebounds, 3.33 steals and 2.33 assists per game.
UPS Player of the Week (November 10)
Zeglinski led the Hawks in scoring and rebounding last week over three games ... He scored in double figures in all three games, all of which were part of the Philly Hoop Group Classic ... He was named to the all-tournament team in the Liberty bracket after leading Hartford to the championship game with a win over NJIT ... He scored 20 points against Rhode Island, 17 against NJIT and 13 against Niagara ... His first basket at Rhode Island?a three-pointer?gave him the 1,000th point of his career ... He becomes the 21st player in school history to reach the milestone and the second fastest to the mark in Hartford’s Division I history.
Delva, a junior forward/center on the women’s basketball team led the Hawks to a 1-1 week with a win over St. Joseph’s and a loss at Quinnipiac ... she finished the week averaging 25.0 points-per-game ... she opened the week with a career-high 30 points at Quinnipiac, becoming jus the sixth player in school history to score 30 or more points in a game ... she then put up 20 points in the win over St. Joseph’s ... Delva also led the team in rebounding at 8.5 boards-per-game ... she shot 83 percent from the field (20-of-24) for the week, missing only one shot, in 10 attempts, against St. Joseph’s and finishing 11-of-14 at Quinnipiac ... she also shot 67 percent from the free throw line, including an 8-of-9 effort against Quinnipiac.
Bass, a junior distance runner on the women’s indoor and outdoor track and field team highlighted the Harvard Invitational for the women’s team with a first place finish in the 500-meter dash ... she posted a time of 1:18.88 in the 500, which is less than a second slower than her personal best time of 1:18.12 ... she also posted the fastest split of the day for Hartford in the 4x400-meter relay, which finished second overall .
Beverly tallied a double-double in the Hawks' only game of the week, a 56-52 loss at Bowling Green ... the junior forward posted her fourth double-double of the season with 13 points and 11 rebounds, while adding three assists, two steals and a career-high six blocks ... she shot 40% for the game (4-for-10), and finished with a 5-of-7 effort at the free-throw line ... Beverly's six blocks marked the first such performance by a Hartford Hawk since Kenitra Johnson in January, 2000

Mathis earns the Hartford Hawks UPS Player of the Week Award for the second-straight week, after scoring a career-high 17 points in 19 minutes in the Hawks rout of UMBC on Tuesday night ... Mathis finished the game shooting 7-of-9 from the field and was a perfect 2-of-2 from long range ... she opened the game with a spark, scoring nine of the Hawks first 13 points, which included both of her three pointers ... Mathis also finished the game with three assists and two steals ... since being inserted in the starting lineup at Bowling Green, Mathis has scored in double figures on four occasions and set career-high scoring marks in three games, including back-to-back games at Connecticut (10 points) and at Binghamton (15 points).
Lamore, a rookie from Hudson, MA, broke a pair of school records in the first track event since school returned to session in January ... she finished fourth in the long jump in a field of 26, recording a leap of 5.41-meters, breaking her own school record of 5.27-meters set in 2008 ... the distance qualified the freshman for the New England Championships, for the long jump, held at the end of February ... additionally, Lamore saw another fourth place performance in the triple jump with a distance of 11.13-meters, breaking the school record, which was previously set by teammate Nicolle Adams in 2008.
Turner led the Hawks in scoring and rebounding for the week, averaging 15.7 points and 8.7 boards over the three games ... he tied a career high and led all scorers at Maine with 26 points and added eight rebounds, including the 500th of his career ... he became the 16th player in school history to join the 500/500 club (500 points and 500 rebounds in a career) ... he is only the eighth player to reach the milestone in the Division I era and the first since the 2002-03 season ... Turner also notched a double-double at Vermont with 10 points and a career-high 11 rebounds

Kelley led the Hawks with back-to-back career-high nights in the quarterfinals and semifinals of the America East Championship ... she opened the tournament with a 14 point performance on 5-of-11 shooting and 4-of-4 at the free throw line against Stony Brook ... she matched her 14 point performance against Vermont, this time on 5-of-9 shooting and 4-of-6 at the charity stripe ... one of four captains on the women's basketball team, Kelley also finished with eight rebounds on both nights, which was tied for the team lead against Vermont.

von Rosenberg closed out his career with an impressive perfomance in the opening round of the America East Championship, putting up 21 points, securing the 22nd position in the 1,000 point club along the way ... the win advanced Hartford into the quarterfinals of the championship and broke a 14-game losing streak ... he followed that up with a 15-point performance in the final game of the year, a 73-65 loss to Binghamton University ... earlier in the week, von Rosenberg was named to the America East All-Conference Third Team and the All-Academic team, the first time he has been named to an all-conference team and the second-straight year he has been named to the All-Academic team ... he closed out his senior season with career-high averages in poitns (12.8 ppg) and rebounds (4.5 rpg).
