West Hartford, CT ? University of Hartford sophomore runner Kaycee Martinez was named the America East Track Athlete of the Week as announced on Tuesday. Martinez broke her own school record on the way to a first place finish in the 400-meter hurdles at the Wildcat Invitational this past weekend.

Martinez topped the time she set a week ago with a time of 1:01.85, which is just over one second off of the NCAA East Regional cut. Her time qualifies her for the ECAC Championships and is currently the second fastest time in heading into next weekend's America East Championships at Maine.
